Manito Art League Scholarship
Tess Richard Architectural Design, UW-Milwaukee
Tess Richard is from Park Falls, Wisconsin. She is studying architectural design at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning. Her goal is to become a licensed architect who advocates for the design of a sustainable environment that acknowledges the effects of human behavior on space, and creates resilient communities.

Zoe Botes Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design
Zoe Botes is from Mercer, Wisconsin, and is a 2020 graduate of Mercer High School. She will be studying illustration and graphic design at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Her goal is to pursue a career in illustration and one day work for Pixar.

Jenna Sima Interior Design, UW - Stout
Jenna Sima is from Sayner, Wisconsin. She is studying interior design at the University of Wisconsin - Stout. Her goal is to design sustainable residential interiors.
Sustainability Statement
The sustainability initiative I have chosen is part of the Living Building Challenge within Cherokee Studios. Chapter 7 focuses on reducing energy by using alternatives like natural sunlight via windows, LED light, and solar panels. I used environmentally-friendly materials and paint throughout the space as well. The materials on the right are environmentally friendly: ZERO VOC paint, bamboo hard surfaces, recycled glass window, LED light strips and natural cork flooring.

Ben Tilley is from Eagle River, Wisconsin. He is studying video production at UW - Milwaukee. His goal is to make videos and movies that others can watch to escape from their everyday lives.

Lacey Gilomen is from Eagle River, Wisconsin. She is a 2020 graduate from Northland Pines High School. She plans to study graphic design at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. Her goal is to create unique art, and help small businesses create their images and become more known.

Faith Bartelt Viterbo University, La Crosse, Wisconsin
Faith is from Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She is studying musical theater performance, and arts administration, at Viterbo University. She plans to pursue her goals in nonprofit theater entrepreneurship, and to perform professionally.

Ethan is from Ironwood, Michigan. This fall, Ethan will be attending Northern Michigan University studying musical theater and the performing arts. Ethan's goal is to perform, teach, and shape the future of the performing arts.

Mariah Weirick Nicolet College, Rhinelander, Wisconsin
Mariah is from Eagle River, Wisconsin, and is a 2020 graduate from the School of Options and Applied Research in Eagle River. This fall she will be studying visual arts at Nicolet College. Her goals include traveling the world, producing works of art that represent her journey, and running an online shop selling her creations.
