Artist Statement

There is endless inspiration in the forests, lakes, wildlife and seasons of Northern Wisconsin; many of my paintings grow out of direct observation and personal experience of the stillness and dramatic beauty of this area.

Watercolor allows me to express both what I see and what I feel. It is the perfect medium. The transparency and unpredictability allow each painting to be unique. The process reflects nature itself; beautiful, imperfect and constantly changing.

Each of my paintings is an attempt to honor the beauty of creation and its Creator.
