Artist Statement

As a self-taught artist in oil painting I also grew more and more in love working & learning Soft Pastels & Pastel Pencil. I mostly focus my work in Soft Pastel, but I enjoy being flexible and putting that special subject on canvas with oil. Growing up in the Northwoods has given me an appreciation for the wildlife which I want to capture in my paintings. I wanted to give my art my full focus working it full-time, and I look forward to seeing where it will go for me in my journey. Darby
