Lake in the Clouds Autumn Morning

On a glorious October morning, I ventured out on a hike with my 14 week old puppy, his first day of training as my photo assistant. After some exploration, we found the perfect light to illuminate this inspiring vista. I especially wanted to show the contrast between the rocky outcrop and the quilted effect of the changing color and textures of the leaves.
