Workshop: Pastel Landscape Painting

Join pastel painter, Terry Daulton, to explore landscape painting techniques including different papers and pastel types, as well as on location painting gear tips.

Terry Daulton’s artwork reflects her background as a biologist and educator. She has worked art/science collaborations and currently works with the University of Wisconsin – Trout Lake Station on their program, “Drawing Water.” She works in pastel, scratchboard, and linocut printmaking. She has illustrated a number of books, including Wrong Tree – Adventures in Wildlife and several books by well-known author John Bates.

Terry has been working in pastels since 1981 as well as linocut printmaking, scratchboard, and book illustration. Her work can be seen at Moondeer and Friends Gallery as well as other locations through the Midwest. She is also a founding organizer for the art/science collaboration project “Drawing Water” at Trout Lake Limnology Station.

Materials to be provided by presenter:  Pastel paper, some different types of pastels to try, fixative, some photo reference material.

Materials to be brought by participant:  If you have the following bring them along : soft pastels (not oil), papers, a travel easel it you like working standing, masking tape, photo reference material, eraser, backboard to attach paper to

Workshop Fee:  $10 for Members, $20 for Non-Members.

Materials Fee: $10 Participant buys materials directly from presenter at the workshop
